Case Study - 53 year old limited mobility

L contacted Nantwich Buddies after seeing one of our leaflets during a visit to her local doctor's surgery. L was a 53 year old lady with multiple health conditions, some of which greatly affect her mobility. L lives alone and her nearest relatives are her elderly parents who are unable to help.

L requested help with clearing and organising a room and some items in her home.  L was unable to move any of these items as she uses two sticks for mobility and unable to balance without them. We assigned J to be her Buddie.

J visited L in her home and together they made a plan as to what would be the best way to fulfil her requirements. Over the next 6 weeks, J visited L on a weekly basis, each time setting her a task to sort a box before his next arrival.

At the end of the 6 week period, L had a fully functional craft room, safe and accessible shelving and organised resources.

L stated “I can’t thank J enough; he’s really made a huge difference to my life at home.”
